Terms of Service
These terms govern access to archie.channel and any invited use of the Archie AI harness. By accessing the site, accepting an invitation, installing Archie, or authorizing a connected service, you agree to these terms. Do not use Archie if you do not agree.
Closed-access service
Archie is a homebrew, closed-access AI harness. It has no public signup or public installation program. You may install or use Archie only after receiving a direct invitation from the Archie operator. An invitation is personal, limited, revocable, and subject to any additional terms supplied with it.
Eligibility and authority
You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to accept these terms. If you use Archie for an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization and to connect its accounts, systems, and data.
Permission to use Archie
Subject to these terms and any invitation terms, you receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable right to access and use the invited deployment for authorized purposes. Your invitation does not grant ownership of Archie, its name, its site, or any related intellectual property.
Software files may include separate license notices. Those notices govern the licensed code they cover. These terms govern the hosted site, access program, integrations, and services around the software.
Your accounts and credentials
You are responsible for your device, accounts, access keys, OAuth grants, recovery methods, and all activity performed through them. Use accurate information and keep credentials confidential. Notify the operator who issued your invitation if you suspect unauthorized access.
You may connect only accounts and data you are authorized to use. You must follow the terms of every connected service and model provider.
Acceptable use
You may not use Archie to violate law, infringe rights, gain unauthorized access, distribute malware, interfere with systems, evade security controls, harass people, exploit children, facilitate fraud, or create a material risk to another person or system.
You may not sell, sublicense, share, or transfer an invitation without written permission. You may not probe or bypass access controls, conceal abusive activity, overload shared infrastructure, or use Archie to process data you have no right to process.
Your content
You retain your rights in content you submit. You grant the deployment operator and required service providers permission to host, copy, process, transmit, and display that content only as needed to operate requested features, protect the service, and meet legal duties.
You are responsible for the legality, accuracy, and rights status of your content. Remove content before connecting a provider if that provider should not receive it.
AI output
Model output can be wrong, incomplete, offensive, or unsuitable. Review output before relying on it or sending it to another person. You remain responsible for decisions, communications, code, filings, transactions, and other actions taken with Archie.
Archie does not provide legal, medical, financial, tax, employment, or other regulated professional advice. Obtain qualified advice when the stakes require it.
Third-party services
Archie can connect to model providers, Google services, communications tools, hosting services, and other third parties. Those services are independent. Their terms, privacy policies, availability, pricing, security, and data practices apply to your use.
The Archie operator is not responsible for a third party's acts, omissions, output, outage, policy change, data loss, or account action. An integration may stop working when a provider changes its service or revokes access.
Privacy
The Privacy Policy explains how data may be handled. By using Archie, you acknowledge that requested features may send data to providers and connected services you select.
Changes and availability
Archie is experimental and changes frequently. Features may be added, changed, suspended, or removed. Access may be limited for maintenance, security, legal, technical, or operational reasons. No minimum uptime, support level, compatibility period, or data-retention period is promised unless a separate written agreement says otherwise.
Fees
The operator may charge fees under a separate written agreement. You are responsible for charges imposed by model providers, connected services, network providers, or other third parties linked to your use.
Termination
You may stop using Archie and revoke connected-service access at any time. The operator may suspend or terminate access if you breach these terms, create security or legal risk, fail to pay agreed fees, or if continued operation is no longer practical.
After termination, your right to use Archie ends. Provisions concerning ownership, user content, disclaimers, liability, indemnity, disputes, and other terms that should survive will remain effective.
Disclaimer of warranties
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Archie and archie.channel are provided "as is" and "as available." The operator disclaims all express, implied, and statutory warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, accuracy, availability, security, and compatibility.
No statement or output creates a warranty unless an authorized written agreement states that warranty expressly.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Archie operator and related contributors will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data, goodwill, business opportunities, or service interruption arising from Archie or these terms.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, total liability for all claims arising from Archie or these terms will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid directly for Archie during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim or EUR 100. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions, so those exclusions apply only to the extent permitted.
Indemnity
To the extent permitted by law, you will defend, indemnify, and hold harmless the Archie operator and contributors from claims, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses arising from your content, your connected accounts, your use of Archie, your violation of law, or your breach of these terms.
Governing terms and disputes
A separate invitation, order form, or written agreement may specify governing law, venue, and dispute procedures. If it does, that agreement controls. Otherwise, applicable law determines those matters.
Before filing a claim, each party will give the other written notice and 30 calendar days to seek an informal resolution, unless urgent injunctive relief is needed or law prevents that process.
General
If a court finds part of these terms unenforceable, the remaining terms remain effective. A failure to enforce a term is not a waiver. You may not assign these terms without written permission. The operator may assign them as part of a transfer of Archie or the related service.
These terms, the Privacy Policy, and any invitation-specific written agreement form the agreement governing your use. Invitation-specific terms control if they conflict with these general terms.
Changes to these terms
The terms may change when Archie, its access model, or legal requirements change. The effective date identifies the current version. Continued use after a change takes effect means you accept the revised terms where law permits that method of acceptance.
